[answered] New science formula

new science formula:to force more of a focus on selected categories, and make it possible to plan war against heavy sci pumped kds to exploit weaknesses.

Can this be explained more clearly?

yes, it will be explained more clearly, we plan to put a little guide up about it, but currently we're waiting for Fogtopia to decide if this is the final version of it or if he plans to tweak it more or not.

To give you basics though, the new sci system is meant to even out the differences in science between kingdoms that war a lot and don't have time to pump science and kingdoms who spend a lot of time during the age in pump mode. After a certain amount of sci the curve will be so steep that the differences between those who pumped loads of sci and regular amonts are very little. Since Fog is still contemplating the final formula a more exact answer will have to wait.

Ok. I completely understand the new formula now.

now lets say you have put all your points into population. Then u learn someone. Do u get to pick where to put the points from the learn or is there a chance that its going to mess up your 100% into 1 science. ??

Learn Attacks takes a percentage of each of the science area the opponent has invested science into. You will not get the option to relocate the books as you might desire. If you make a learn attack on an opponent with only Food, Income, and Tools science, that is what you will get. You will steal books/knowledge about Food, Income, and Tools science.

You can't steal books/knowledge about Food and try to use it to improve your Channeling knowledge...

So a learn attack can screw your science up under the new formula?

So attempting to get 100 books per acre of each sci is a bad idea. I need to pick one or two that I want to beef up?

Vannguard, yes spreading it on all categories is not a good option.
